Oops April is passing fast
Apr. 10th, 2023 02:34 pmSo, good news? I got the two jobs I really wanted, both art gallery jobs! Bad news, I'm still trying to do paperwork and a background check for one of them, and that process has been dragging out the past few days.
More good news, one of my friends in a different gallery had a painting job that paid really well and I worked a few days to help paint playground equipment. Bad news, we were working for hours on end in the sun and that really zapped my energy in every way possible so I couldn't even think about writing. Literally felt sore all over and got throbbing headaches from the sun (and yes, I kept hydrated, wore a hat, and plenty of sunscreen. Still taxing on my body).
I was going to use April for Camp Nano to get my first novel started, but I've been working so much since the 1st to help pay my bills that I've exhausted myself and haven't gotten any writing done.
Silver lining, I won't have to worry about next month's rent and being able to pay for gas and groceries this month. I've also planned out my novel and gotten the outline ready to go, plus worldbuilding notes and a character list.
I just need life to slow down so I can do what I need to do. Kinda wish I had all this exciting job stuff happening last month when I was desparately job hunting, but oh well. That's life I guess.
